The Missouri Tigers wrapped up their two-game exhibition season with a 90-60 win over Northwest Missouri State. Sophomore forward Linas Kleiza led the Tigers in scoring and rebounding with 23 points and 9 boards. Thomas Gardner hit 7-of-10 shots—including 4-of-7 three pointers—to score 19. Jimmy McKinney, Jason Conley and freshman point guard Jason Horton also scored in double digits. Mizzou hit 56.1% of their shots. Northwest, which is ranked 18th in the NCAA Division-II poll, was led by Andy Peterson, who had 14 points. Joel Osborn added 11 for the Bearcats. NWMSU was held to just 29.2% shooting from the floor in the second half , as Mizzou expanded on an 18-point halftime lead. The Tigers will open the regular season against Brown on Monday in the Guardians’ Classic. Northwest will face William Penn (Iowa) to open their season next Tuesday.
