A U.S. Marine Reservist from the southwest Missouri town of Brighton has been killed in Iraq. The family of Corporal Nathaniel Hammond has been told he was killed in enemy action in Babil Province. He was 24, a member of the Second Battalion of the Marine Corps Reserve.
