The Big 12 announced it’s pre-season awards yesterday…Wayne Simien of KU is picked as the pre-season player of the year….Tiger junior guard Jimmy McKinney and sophomore forward Linas Kleiza were named pre season honorable mentions…The Missouri Valley Conference released it’s pre-season poll on Tuesday. Southwest Missouri State is picked to finish fifth on the men’s side, while Southern Illinois is given the top spot. On the women’s side SMS is picked to finish first.
