Missouri Republicans are getting some good news in a new poll conducted by Survey USA for KSDK-TV in St. Louis and KOMU-TV in Columbia. In the race for the White House, President Bush has a 52-percent to 45-percent lead over Senator Kerry among those surveyed. The Governor’s race gives Republican Matt Blunt an 8-percentage point lead over Democrat Claire McCaskill – 52-percent to 44-percent. There is a huge gap in the race for Senator Bond’s U.S. Senate seat. Bond has the support of 60-percent of those polled, compared to 34-percent for Democrat Nancy Farmer. The polling was conducted between October 23rd and 25th.
