You know the old saying “It’s a great place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there”? The Cardinals probably don’t think Houston is even that great of a place to visit after dropping three straight on the road to the Astros in the NLCS. Less than a week ago many already punched the Cardinals’ ticket to the World Series after taking a 2-0 lead in the series with both games at Busch Stadium. Now they’ll have to do it again and win games six and seven at home if they wish to advance. This afternoon the Cardinals will send Matt Morris to the mound. The starters from St. Louis’ 6-4 win in game two will meet again—Matt Morris will face Pete Munro. Neither pitcher made it past the five innings and neither were a part of the decision. Both allowed six hits off three runs. Should the series be pushed to a seventh game, Jeff Suppan will face Roger Clemens.
