Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has reduced his staff in Missouri, shifting workers to other battleground states. The decision comes after the Kerry campaign and the Democratic National Commmittee pulled its television advertising from the state. Despite the shift, Kerry Missouri Campaign Manager Michael Golden laughs at Republican suggestions that Kerry has conceded the state to President Bush. Golden won’t disclose specific numbers, but says some of the 76 workers will shift to other states, some will move to other Missouri campaigns. He says his office will maintain a staff larger than that used by the Gore campaign in 2000, which operated seven offices with between 12 and 15 staff workers.
