The Rams staged an improbable comeback to beat the Seahawks 33-27 in Seattle Sunday. John Brown’s 34-yard field goal with 8:42 to go in the game gave the Seahawks a 27-10 lead. The Rams responded with an eight-play, 66-yard drive that resulted in an eight-yard pass from Marc Bulger to tight end Brandon Manumaleauna in the end zone. The extra point got the Rams to within 10 points with 5:34 to go in the game. The St. Louis defense forced a three-and-out and got the ball back on the Seattle 41. On the first play of the drive, Bulger hit Kevin Curtis for a 41-yard touchdown pass and kicker Jeff Wilkins cut the lead to 27-24. The Rams defense showed up again on the next series. After Seattle got a first down on a Matt Hasselbeck to Koren Robinson, the Rams forced the Seahawks to punt three plays later. With 1:14 to go, Bulger completed three passes to get the Rams to the Seattle 18-yard line. Jeff Wilkins attempted and made a 36-yard field goal to tie the game at 27-27 with: 08 to go in regulation. The Rams won the coin toss in overtime and needed five plays to set up Bulger’s 52-yard touchdown pass to Shaun McDonald to win it. Bulger finished with 325 yards passing with three touchdowns and three interceptions. He hit 10 different receivers on Sunday, but Isaac Bruce was his favorite connecting with him six times for 78 yards. Stephen Jackson and Marshal Faulk combined for 115 yards rushing.
