President Bush and Senator Kerry are in Missouri, making last minute preparations for their second debate. The preparations for the debate at Washington University have been completed. University Debate Committee Chairman Steve Givens says the campus in St. Louis has been wild this week, but he’s ready to settle down a bit, go off to a private room with his committee members, enjoy some food and drink and watch the debates on television like everyone else. Washington University first hosted a presidential debate in 1992. It had only a week to prepare, because it substituted for another location that fell through. Washington has been chosen as a site every election cycle since.
