A gay marriage ban amendment passed just a few weeks ago by a wide margin in Louisiana has been struck down by a state judge there. But at least one gay advocacy group in Missouri believes our same-sex marriage ban amendment will stand. Jeff Wunrow is the Executive Director of PROMO – a gay rights group in this state. He says our amendment is different than Louisiana’s, and he does not expect any court to overturn it. Wunrow says his group is moving on to other issues such as discrimination against gays in employment. He says even opponents of gay marriage are allies in the fight over discrimination issues against gays. And Wunrow says his group hasn’t given up on the idea of civil unions in this state.
