A nationwide bus tour that’s collecting information on the civil rights era visits Missouri on Wednesday. The Voices of Civil Rights Tour makes a stop in St. Louis today at the Missouri Botanical Garden. It’s a joint effort of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the Library of Congress, and the AARP. Bennie Daugherty, Missouri AARP State President, says the bus tour is collecting thousands of stories from people who want to share their memories from the civil rights era. The Tour has already heard many of these stories that will be permanently housed in the Library of Congress. The Tour is making stops in 35 cities over 70 days as it makes its way from Washington, D.C. to Las Vegas
