The crackdown on music piracy on the Internet has come to Missouri. BMG, the music industry giant, has retained one of the biggest law firms in St. Louis, Bryan Cave, to pursue cases against those it suspects of downloading music for free off the Internet, sometimes using it for commercial purposes. The St. Louis Post-Disptach reports more than 600 cases have been filed in St. Louis by BMG, Sony and the like. Most such cases are settled out of court.
