The Kansas City Chiefs will honor Joe Delaney at Sunday’s Chiefs-Texans when they add his name to the team’s Ring Of Honor during halftime. Delaney was inducted to the Chiefs Hall of Fame last March. He drowned in 1983 while trying to save the lives of three children. Delaney spent two years in the NFL, both with the Chiefs. He was the 1981 AFC Rookie of the Year. He rushed for 1,121 yards that year while earning team MVP honors. In his short two-year career, Delaney ran for 1,501 yards and three touchdowns.
