The main organizer of the presidential debate scheduled for early October at Washington University says he’s relieved by news reports that say the two camps have agreed to come to St. Louis in early October. Steve Givens, chairman of the Presidential Debate Steering Committee at Washington, says his group tried not to pay attention to news accounts that cast doubt on whether George Bush and John Kerry would debate there. The St. Louis debate is the middle of three presidential debates. The first will be held the last day of September in Florida. The final debate will be held October 13th in Arizona.
