Missouri Astronaut Linda Godwin returns to her southeast Missouri roots this week to meet with teachers and others at the Godwin Center for Science and Mathematics at Southeast Missouri State University. she’ll be talking at the fall NASA Educator Resource Center Network Conference. Godwin says those centers are important, not only for the future of space flight, but for the future of the country. She says the centers and the conferences also highlight the space prgoram to many young people who might not be as familiar with the space program and its benefits – as their parents have been.
