Once more, a court has told officials of the state’s largest charter school they have to give up their school. And once more, officials with the Westport Charter School in Kansas City say they’re not done fighting a takeover effort by the public school board. The State Appeals Court in Kansas City, under the direction of the State Supreme Court, has repeated its order that the public school system can resume control of Westport. Westport school leaders say there’s no get-out date in the court order and there are other legal issues to be resolved.
