Southwest Missouri State snagged its fourth verbal commitment for the 2005 men’s basketball recruiting class yesterday, as Ryan Boyd of Seagoville (Texas) High School announced his intent to come to Springfield. Boyd, who is 6-5, 180-pounds, averaged 11 points per game to help his team to a 26-8 season. Boyd joins Shane Laurie of Springfield Kickapoo, Justin Fuehrmeyer of Francis Howell Central and Derrick Moore of Dallas’ Lincoln High School, who have also committed to SMS.
