The Rams offense finally came to life on Friday. St. Louis picked up its first win of the preseason with a 28-3 victory over the Washington Redskins. Rookie running back Steven Jackson had a break-out game. Jackson ran for 125 yards on 25 carries and scored a touchdown. Marc Bulger, Chris Chandler and Jeff Smoker combined for 288 passing yards. Torry Holt had a big first half, catching seven passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. The Rams found the endzone four times after scoring just 13 points in their first two preseason games.
