Abraham Nunez gave the Royals all the spark they needed to beat the Mariners 7-3 on Thursday in Seattle. Nunez belted a one-out grand slam in the first inning to give the Royals a 4-0 lead. In the sixth inning, Aaron Guiel drove in a run with a single and two errors later on the same play, John Buck scored to make it 6-1. Matt Stairs had an RBI single in the seventh inning. On the mound, Brian Anderson wasn’t perfect, but he was good enough to win his third game of the year. Anderson lasted six innings and was charged with two runs off six hits and five walks. The win ended a three-game losing streak for the Royals.
