A family from Webster Groves was killed in a car crash inIllinois. Five people were killed in the crash on Interstate 55 Sunday. Carrie Lindsey and Mike Shelton, along with their teenage daughter Emily, were among those killed. They were returning home from a music festival inChicago when a car going the other direction veered across their path. The family’s vehicle broadsided the other car. The two people in the other car were also killed in the crash. Shelton and Lindsey were well-known in thealternative music and culture scene in St. Louis. They had been married since 1990. Emily was their only child together. Shelton has a 20-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.
