It’s another record year for student enrollment at theUniversity of Missouri-Columbia. Officials say there’s a one percent increase, which is 300 more students than last year. Total enrollment at the Columbia campus is just over 27,000. While Chancellor Richard Wallace has suggested he’d like to see more than 30,000 students in the next five years at the university, there are no formal plans in place to make that happen. To do that, some say the university would need to build more classrooms and dormitories while keeping tuition low.
