It was an up and down Wednesday at Mizzou. Tiger freshman tailback Tony Temple was cleared to return to practice. Temple had sat out the past week while waiting to find out if he would be academically eligible. Temple had practiced two days at the start of camp before the NCAA Clearinghouse declared him ineligible. MU requested an appeal, and the NCAA ruled Temple eligible. The news is not so good for quarterback Darrell Jackson. The freshman has been charged in St. Louis County Family Court on undisclosed juvenile charges. Prosecutors filed a petition seeking to certify Jackson as an adult. He’s now 18, but the alleged crime dates back to when he was 16 or younger. Jackson returned to St. Louis on Tuesday for what MU officials called personal reasons. Jackson did rejoin the Tigers for practice on Wednesday. His certification hearing is set for September 16.
