The Missouri Tiger football team began one of the most anticipated seasons in Columbia in years Monday. The team practiced for about 2-hours and 45-minutes at Faurot Field to begin fall camp. Players practiced with helmets, but no pads for the first of 25 practices. Mizzou enters the 2004 campaign as the 17th-ranked team in the nation according to the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ poll, marking their first pre-season ranking since 1980. They’ve also been picked to finish second in the Big 12 North, according to the conference’s pre-season poll.
