Abraham Nunez was traded to the Royals from the Marlins over the weekend and made quite a splash in his debut. Nunez was 2-4 with two RBI’s to help Kansas City top Cleveland 8-7. Nunez’s RBI double in the eighth inning proved to be the game-winner. The Royals built a 7-2 lead by the fifth thanks to RBI’s from Ken Harvey, David DeJesus, Nunez John Buck. Harvey drove in two with a single in the first and a double in the fifth. Buck finished with three RBI’s thanks to a three-run homer.But the Indians chipped away at the Royals lead with two runs in the sixth and runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth.
