Omar Vizquel beat the Royals with his bat and his arm on Friday. Vizquel threw out the potential game-winning run in the ninth, then scored in the 11th as Cleveland beat Kansas City 7-6. Matt Stairs hit a two-run home run as the Royals erased an early 5-0 deficit and tied the game at 5-5. Tied 6-6 in the ninth, Joe Randa tried to score from first on Mike Sweeney’s double. But Randa was thrown out at home by Vizquel’s relay from Cleveland outfielder Coco Crisp. Vizquel then tripled in the 11th and scored on Matt Lawton’s sacrifice fly. The Royals have lost eight games in a row, matching their longest losing streak of the season.
