One Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor has tons of experience, while the other claims experience in dealing with people. Former State Representative Pat Secrest admits she is the underdog in this race and Senator Peter Kinder has a lot of experience in the State Senate that she might not have. But Secrest says too many times people who spend a lot of time in Jefferson City, lose touch with what the rest of Missouri wants. Kinder says Secrest has been a good Republican but doesn’t have the experience he does. Secrest says being seen as an outsider could be considered a good thing – above all the contentiousness of the legislative session. Kinder doesn’t believe her message is attracting a whole lot of attention.
