Missouri Democrats have gathered in Boston with great hopes that this 2004 Convention will give the party the energy it needs to get John Kerry elected. But before the work begins they gathered to have fun. First fun, then down to business for Missouri delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Boston. St. Louis Congressman Lacy Clay hosted a welcoming party for delegates at they arrived at the Marriott Long Wharf at Boston Harbor. Clay says he hopes John Kerry and John Edwards will present a powerful visual for the delegates at this convention, uniting them to work hard for the party. Clay says Missouri remains a battleground state, and though Kerry by-passed Missouri on his journey to Boston, he expects Kerry to come to the state frequently after the convention wraps up.
