The State Gaming Commission is looking at a proposed casino site in St.Louis, to determine whether it meets the state constitution’s requirement that casinos be within 1,000 feet of the Mississippi River. Pinnacle Entertainment wants to build a casino for $250 Million. It admits about half the site is not within 1,000 feet. The site proposed in St.Louis is three blocks from the riverbank. The Gaming Commission has hired a consultant to examine the issue.
