Former St. Louis Blues center Mike Danton pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of conspiracy to commit murder for hire. Danton is accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill his agent, David Frost. Danton will serve no more than 10 years in prison after cutting a deal with prosecutors. The deal will likely give Danton the opportunity to serve most of his jail sentence in Canada. Danton will receive his sentence on October 22. Danton’s co-defendant, Katie Wolfmeyer, is scheduled to go on trial in September.
