Christian Cantwell may be the top-ranked shot putter in the world, but he won’t be representing the United States in the Olympics. Cantwell fouled on every throw but one on Saturday night and threw for 67 feet and 5 ½ inches, which was good enough for fourth place, but only the top three made the team. Cantwell is a former Missouri Tiger and is an Eldon, Missouri native… Fellow former Tiger Derrick Peterson finished second in his heat of the semifinals of the 800-meter dash and will be in the field of the finals on Monday night.
