Southeast Missouri State defensive coordinator Damon Bradford has been called to active duty with the Tennessee National Guard. Bradford will report on June 20. He will head to Fort Knox, Ky., for training. After that, he will join his troop in Mississippi before being deployed to Iraq. SEMO head coch Tim Billings will take over the role of defensive coordinator. Bradford’s spot will be kept vacant until his tour of duty is completed. Bradford was hired by Southeast during the offseason. He was previously the linebackers coach at Tennessee Tech.
