The Cardinals had Monday off, but Scott Rolen had a pretty good day. The Cards third baseman was named National League Player of the Week for June 7-13. Rolen hit .391 with four home runs and 10 RBI during the week. He also led the league with a 1.000 slugging percentage. Rolen also appears to be the runaway winner at third base in the fan balloting for the 2004 All-Star Game. In the latest totals released on Monday, Rolen has just under 999,000 votes. Aramis Ramirez of the Cubs is in second place at third base. He has just 450,000 votes. Albert Pujols is still the leader at first base. Pujols holds a slight edge over Houston’s Jeff Bagwell. Pujols has 892,000 votes, while Bagwell has 807,000. Houston’s Adam Everett has passed Edgar Renteria and taken the lead at shortstop. Everett has 625,000 votes. Renteria is second with 545,000.
