Scott Rolen is piling up RBI’s like a teenager piles up dirty laundry. The Cardinal’s third baseman added three more to bring his major league-leading total to 53, as St. Louis topped Pittsburgh 8-3 Monday afternoon. Rolen’s three-run homer in the third inning broke a 2-2 tie and gave him 13 long-balls on the season. He also went 3-for-4 and scored two runs. Tony Womack hit a home run as well, connecting on his second of the season. On the mound Jason Marquis was able to work around 10 hits and a walk to improve to 4-4 on the season. The Cardinals have won four of their last five games.
