A federal appeals court says it’s okay for Missouri to have a law requiring women to wait 24 hours after meeting with their doctors to have abortions. Backers of the law say it gives women time to become fully informed of the potential risks of abortion. Planned Parenthood challenged the law, saying it’s too vague. The Legislature enacted the bill over Governor Bob Holden’s veto last September.
