Scott Rolen continued to drive in runs at an MVP’s pace on Thursday as the Cardinals beat the Pirates 6-3. Rolen was 1-4, but that one hit was a three-run homer and he drove in another run with a sacrifice fly. He now has 49 RBI’s which leads the majors. On the mound, Jeff Suppan lasted six innings and allowed three runs to improve to 4-4 on the season. Cal Eldred, Ray King and Jason Isringhausen chipped in over the next three innings and held Pittsburgh to a hit and a walk. Isringhausen pitched the ninth inning and picked up his ninth save of the season.
