After the storm warnings, another warning has gone up in Missouri. This one against being ripped of by home repair con artists. Beth Hammock with the State Attorney General’s office says the biggest problem is people feel pressured into getting things fixed as soon as possible. Hammock suggests spending the time waiting for local contractors that you know to do the work, or if you have to go with someone from out-of-town, check those references. The Attorney General has a list of home repair companies with complaints filed against them.
