A Kansas City lawyer who specializes in discrimination lawsuits has sued the Springfield Police Department, charging one of its officers stopped him because of his race two years ago. The lawyer is Carlos Romious says he’s a victim of racial profiling. The city police chief denies the allegation and says there’s nthing that indicates his Department practices it. The police report says he was stopped because the license plate on his car did not match the car, although a later check during the stop proved he was okay.
