Some of the students who went through graduation this week at Jefferson College in Hillsboro had four-point-grade averages, but only one of them was a 72 year old grandfather, who is blind. Bob Brophy never finished high school. Degenerating eyesight caused him to drop out of high school after two years. But new computer technology has enabled him to take college courses and get his associate’s degree in liberal arts. Now he wants a full four-year degree in behavioral science.
