A bad start led to another loss for the Royals. Oakland scored four runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-2 win over KC on Friday. Eric Karros and Scott Hatteberg hit home runs for the A’s. Former Royal Jermaine Dye was 2-4 with an RBI. Jimmy Gobble took the loss for Kansas City. He have up six runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings. The loss drops the Royals record to 11-22. Only Tampa Bay and Montreal have worse records than Kansas City.
