Former Cardinal, David Bell, did in his old team with a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Phillies a 5-4 win over St. Louis on Wednesday. The blast came a half-inning after Scott Rolen and Colin Porter drove in runs to give Woody Williams a 4-2 lead. Rolen finished with three RBI’s and leads the majors with 33. Williams (0-3) lasted seven innings and was charged with all five Philly runs off seven hits and two walks. Kevin Millwood improved to 3-2 by lasting into the eighth inning and allowing four runs. Bell drove in a season-high four runs on the night as the Phillies bounced back from a series-opening loss on Tuesday. This afternoon Jeff Suppan will face Randy Wolf in the rubber game at 12:05.
