In an East St. Louis, Illinois courtroom Tuesday, Blues center Mike Danton pleaded not guilty to charges that he helped orchestrate a plot to kill his agent David Frost. Danton will be back in court on Friday to learn whether or not he’s eligible to be released on bond. Katie Wolfmeyer, who is also accused of helping with the plot, is currently free on $100,000 bond. On Tuesday, U.S. Magistrate Gerald B. Cohn set a trial date for July 20. Danton’s estranged father, Richard Jefferson, his mother and brother, joined him in the courtroom. His mother and brother haven’t seen Danton in 3 1/2 years.
