The Cardinals continued their late-inning heroics on Sunday. Scott Rolen lined a shot to the wall with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th, driving in the only run in a 1-0 win. The blast put an end to a serious pitcher’s duel between Matt Morris and Carlos Zambrano. Morris threw nine shutout innings for the Cardinals, giving up just four hits and striking out four. Zambrano went seven shutout innings for Chicago, surrendering three hits while setting a new career record with 12 strikeouts. Jason Isringhausen pitched a scoreless 10th and got the win for St. Louis.
