Leftover perscription drugs heading for the trash can could be donated to the state to be distributed to Medicaid patients under a bill nearing completion in the legislature. The House has unanimously approved creation of the Prescription Drug Repository Program and returned the bill to the Senate for final approval. The bill provides immunity to those who donate drugs to the program, shielding them from lawsuits. The House rejects an amendment to strip that immunity, then approves the bill.
