The Royals lost to the Twins 4-2 and had to be kicking themselves as a result. All of the Twins’ runs came on a two-out rally in the top of the third inning. Corey Koskie hit an RBI single and Torii Hunter blasted a three-run homer to make it 4-0. Matt Stairs got the Royals on the scoreboard with an RBI single in the fourth inning. Kansas City made it 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth, when Mendy Lopez walked with the bases loaded with one out. The Royals weren’t able to take advantage of the ducks on the pond—Joe Randa went down on a pop foul and Tony Graffanino struck out. Anderson was charged with all four runs and fell to 1-2 on the season. The Royals are off today and host Texas on Tuesday.
