Illinois’ top federal prosecutor met with the media on Thursday to announce the indictment of Blues Center Mike Danton and Katie Wolfmeyer on federal charges of interstate conspiracy to commit murder. The indictment was a formality and the two will face a federal grand jury, which will decide whether or not there’s enough evidence to send the case to trial. U.S. Attorney Ronald Tenpas said yesterday that Wolfmeyer helped Danton to find someone to murder another person. The intended target is believed to be Danton’s agent, David Frost. The go-between is believed to be Levi Jones who works as a dispatcher for the Columbia, Illinois Police Department and knew Wolfmeyer. Jones apparently contacted authorities and worked in compliance with the FBI to help arrest Danton and Wolfmeyer.
