Reggie Sanders and Albert Pujols hit home runs as the Cardinals beat the Astros 5-3 in Houston Wednesday night. Sanders tied the game in the third inning with a solo blast and Pujols broke the tie with a two-run shot in the sixth. Sanders has five long-balls on the season and Pujols has six. St. Louis added two more runs in the seventh inning thanks to an error by Houston third baseman Jose Vizcaino that allowed Scott Rolen to score. Later, Tony Womack reached on an infield single to score Edgar Renteria. Lance Berkman’s two-run double in the eighth inning got Houston closer, but Jason Isringhausen was able to work the last 1 2/3’s innings to snag his second save of the season. Jeff Suppan lasted six innings and was charged with one run off five hits and two walks and improved to 1-2 on the season.
