The Royals continued to struggle on the road with an 8-3 loss to Minnesota on Sunday. It was their sixth straight defeat and Darrell May dropped to 0-3. May lasted five innings and gave up six runs—four earned—off nine hits and three walks and eight strike outs. The Twins had a 4-3 lead before exploding for four runs in the sixth inning. May gave up a two-run homer to Luis Rivas and was yanked after 5 1/3 innings. Sean Camp relieved may and proceeded to put two men on base. With two outs, Jacque Jones hit a two-run triple to make it 8-3. The Royals are now 4-8 on the season and in last place in the American League Central. They’ll open up a three-game series in Cleveland on Tuesday.
