The race for Governor is getting tighter, at least, if funding is any indication. Governor Bob Holden has raised $3.5-Million in his bid for re-election. His primary opponent, State Auditor Claire McCaskill, has now raised about $2-Million by both raising money and lending money to herself. McCaskill so far has lent more than half a million dollars to her campaign. Neither Holden nor McCaskill raised as much money the last quarter as Secretary of State Matt Blunt, the top Republican in the race. Blunt raised a million dollars last quarter, bringing his campaign warchest total to over $2-Million.
