A fee used to clean up tire dumps that has expired would be renewed under a bill passing the House. Brent Martin reports. Legislators allowed the 50-cent per tire fee to expire last year. The fee generates $2-Million a year. The State Department of Natural Resources has identified more than 100 illegal tire dumps with 25,000 or more tires. The House has given the bill overwhelming approval and sent it to the Senate.
