The Office of Homeland Security is looking for a little security of its own and the State Senate is moving to provide it. The Senate has advanced a bill putting the agency within the Department of Public Safety – a statutory position. The agency was created by Governor Bob Holden’s executive order. One mroe positive vote in the Senate is needed before the legislation can be sent to the House.
