Members of the Missouri House end their legislative week with a tribute to veterans. The House paused to read the names of Missourians who have died in service of their country, then welcomed veterans from wars spanning from World War One to the current war in Iraq. The highlight of the ceremony was the presence of the Reverend Fred Robb of Springfield, a 107-year-old veteran of World Wars One and Two. Robb served as chaplain at Pearl Harbor and supervised construction of the chaplain there. He received a thunderous ovation as he climbed the steps of the Speaker’s dias to receive an American flag from the Speaker.
